रामपुर बार एसोसिएशन द्वारा एक महत्वपूर्ण बैठक आयोजित की गई, जिसमें जिला कचहरी में वकीलों के चैम्बरों को हटाने के निर्णय के खिलाफ शांतिपूर्ण धरना प्रदर्शन का प्रस्ताव पारित किया गया है। यह प्रस्ताव 10 फरवरी 2025 को लागू होगा, जिसमें अधिवक्ता न्यायिक कार्य से विरत रहेंगे।

बार एसोसिएशन ने इस प्रदर्शन को न्यायिक कार्य से विराम लेने के साथ-साथ कचहरी में न्यायालय भवनों के निर्माण की प्रक्रिया को पुनः विचार करने की मांग की है। अधिवक्ताओं के चैम्बरों को हटाकर जिला प्रशासन ने नए न्यायालय भवन का निर्माण करने का प्रस्ताव रखा है, जो 1947 से वकालत कर रहे अधिवक्ताओं के लिए एक गंभीर मुद्दा बन गया है।

जिला कचहरी में वकीलों के चैम्बर हटाए जाने के विरोध में बार एसोसिएशन ने यह कदम उठाया है, क्योंकि इन चैम्बरों में वकील वर्षों से वकालत का कार्य कर रहे थे। अधिवक्ताओं का कहना है कि यह कदम उनके पेशेवर अधिकारों और स्वतंत्रता के खिलाफ है।

सतनाम सिंह मट्टू, अध्यक्ष बार एसोसिएशन ने कहा, "हम न्यायपालिका के प्रति अपनी पूरी जिम्मेदारी और आदर रखते हैं, लेकिन इस कदम के खिलाफ हम एकजुट हैं और 10 फरवरी को शांति पूर्वक विरोध प्रदर्शन करेंगे। हमें राज्य प्रशासन से न्यायसंगत समाधान की उम्मीद है।"

इस विरोध में पूरे प्रदेश के बार एसोसिएशनों से समर्थन की अपील की गई है। रामपुर बार एसोसिएशन ने अन्य तहसील की बार एसोसिएशनों से भी यह अनुरोध किया है कि वे 10 फरवरी को न्यायिक कार्य से विरत रहें और रजिस्ट्री का कार्य भी बंद रखें।
